Piano Lesson for my Nephew

We were watching the segment of the local show about kids showcasing their talents in playing musical instruments.  My sister is entertained and thinking of enrolling her son in the piano lesson this summer.  Piano lesson for my nephew is a nice idea because we wanted to have a musician in the family for our sing a long bonding.  The sister is now thinking of buying her son a casio cdp-120 in preparation for the piano class this summer.  Good luck to my nephew I am looking forward to hear him playing musical instrument for us.

Excited of the result

Anytime this month, the result of the entrance examination test of the nephew at the new school will be released.  We are so excited of the result and hoping that the nephew passed the the examination.  I have seen parents comparing the results of their kids right after the examination and they have higher scores compared to my nephew.  My nephew got high scores as well, but not as high as theirs.  I am crossing my fingers that the nephew passed because he likes the school.  The school is really nice and have good product of students.  Also, it is the school that my sister (nephew’s mother) is dreaming for his son to be enrolled.

Out of 300 examiner, the school will get 100 students only.  We really pray that the nephew will be part of the top 100.  All the sacrifices, efforts and time spent teaching the nephew will be paid off if he makes it.  It will be an answered prayer when the nephew will make it.  The sister went to the school last week to check if the result is out but not yet.  It thrilled us I must say.  I am crossing my fingers for the result.    My nephew keeps on telling me that he wants to be in that school, I like to believe that it is a sign that he passed.  Pray to God that he passed.

Visited A Developmental Pediatrician

The sister is so worried of her younger son.  He will turn three in two days but still can’t speak fluently.  The sister has read books about the development of a child and signs of autism.  We have visited pediatrician before and told the doctor about the nephew’s condition.  The doctor told us to give him time, maybe his development is just slow.  We took the doctor’s advice.  One year has passed and still can’t speak fluently.  The nephew has little improvements though but the sister is so worried because she is planning to enrolled her youngest this coming school year.

The sister has sought an advice to some of her friends and colleagues that has the same experienced.  They suggested that the sister should visit a developmental pediatrician.  I told the sister to give more time to her son, but the sister cannot wait for another year.  Today we visited a developmental pediatrician.  We did not able to talk to the doctor though but we already have an appointment this April. Yes, the doctor is so busy.  Her January to March schedule is full.  Hopefully the nephew will get better when he starts the treatment.  I am so excited to have a conversation with my beloved bubbly and handsome nephew.

Following what I taught

Since the nanny of my two nephews left, I do not have enough time for my two years old nephew to play with him because my hands are so full with my other nephew.  My sister asked me to baby-sit her sons while they are still looking for a new baby-sitter.  I can sense that my two years old nephew got jealous because he is being a brat.  He does not want to listen to me and does not follow what I teach him.  I am having some hard time to explain to him that his cousin needs more time compared to him.  I just extend my patience teaching him and trying my very best to spend time with him while the baby is sleeping.

I am so happy because he is now being a good boy now and following what I teach him.  I can tell that my nephew is a smart boy because at his very young age, he understands what I told him.  It took me patience and effort to control my anger and I am glad I am able to control it.  The house is calm now because my two years old nephew does not cause so many messes.  He is now following what I say and doing the things that I wanted him to do.  He is a helping little boy I can tell.
